95% Efficiency Furnaces

LEARNING CENTER
for Furnaces / Heaters

These are very high efficiency furnaces. They are the top-of-the line models. They are 15% more efficient than the low efficiency furnaces. This means you will save 15% more off your gas bill with one of these furnaces than if you select a low efficiency model.

Additionally, some of these furnaces have advanced burners with two flame levels, high and low. When your home needs less heat, the furnace will operate on low flame; when your home needs more heat it will automatically operate on high flame. The benefit of this is a more quiet operation, as well as increased comfort due to more even temperatures in the home (including a reduction in cool air-pockets near doors and windows).

These products qualify for an energy efficiency tax credit.  The tax credit covers 30% of the cost, installation supplies and labor up to $1,500!

Shop from the following product categories:
GMS9 Series Front

Up / Horizontal Flow, Multi-Speed, 95% Efficiency, Two-Stage Furnaces

  • These furnaces are very similar to the Two-Stage Variable Speed models with a couple of differences. On this furnace, the two-stage burner changes from low flame to high flame based on an adjustable time set in the furnace (not controlled by the thermostat, therefore you can use a standard thermostat). Also, the blower on this furnace has two speeds in the heat mode, low and high, and it will change speed to correspond with the operation of the low and high flame levels. (This furnace can be made to operate as a standard furnace as well with one flame level and one speed blower). The benefits of this furnace are similar to the Two-Stage Variable Speed models however the Two-Stage Variable Speed models are even more quiet, even more electrically efficient, and even more comfortable. Still, this is the second-best furnace available, and an outstanding furnace for the price.

Goodman GMV9 GCV9 front

Up / Horizontal Flow, Variable-Speed, 95% Efficiency, Two-Stage Furnaces

  • These are our best gas furnaces, top-of-the-line. These furnaces will operate on low flame, and then automatically increase to high-flame when more heat is needed. (A two-stage thermostat is required which allows you to determine when high-flame is engaged). The variable speed blower gradually ramps up and down to modulate the air flow, creating a smooth, nearly-continuous, quiet and comfortable fan operation. The benefits of this furnace are that it makes the home more comfortable due to more even temperatures throughout the home, maintains a more steady temperature (keeps the house at nearly the exact temperature you set your thermostat), increases your air conditioning efficiency about 8%, has a lower operating cost (due to a DC voltage variable blower motor), increases efficiency of any attached air cleaner, and is quieter than most furnaces.
