Water Heaters

These are water heaters for domestic water, meaning for heating your home's drinking, washing and bathing water.

• Tankless water heaters, also known as on-demand or continuous flow water heaters, only heat the water when needed. When water flow is detected the water heater turns on, and when the demand for hot water ceases the unit shuts down to conserve energy.  There is an alternative use for these tankless heaters as well, which is to heat your home when combined with a hydronic air handler.

• Heat pump water heaters heat the water with a highly efficient electric heat pump.  A heat pump water heater is 3-5 times more electrically efficient than a traditional straight electric water heater.

Select if:

• You are adding or replacing a tankless water heater.
• You would like an energy efficient water heater that only heats water when needed.
• You would like an endless supply of hot water; tankless water heaters never run out of hot water because they heat the water on demand.

Select if:

• You are adding or replacing a traditional tank-style water heater, and you have 220-240 Volt electrical connections available.
• You would like a very highly efficient water heater.

Select if:

• You would like a very energy efficient water heating system.
• You would like to significantly reduce water heating costs for your home.

• Heat recovery units, also known as desuperheaters, utilize the hot refrigerant from a central air conditioner or heat pump to heat water in a traditional tank water heater.  This helps lower the operating cost of a tank water heater, and extends the life of the air conditioner or heat pump since the refrigerant entering the compressor is cooler.

Select if:

• You need accessories for tankless water heaters such as remote controllers, recess boxes, and termination kits.

Select if:

• You are have or are purchasing a Rinnai interior tankless water heater and need venting materials to vent the intake and exhaust to the outdoors.

Select if:

• You need additional installation accessories for your water heater such as water heater connection piping, or a thermostatic mixing valve.
