Installed it on Saturday morning and was enjoying a hot shower by mid afternoon. Installation was straight forward and complete in a couple of hours. The unit works just as the literature describes. I own an Whirlpool hE washer and it doesn't seem to be offended by the minor sandwiching effect.
I expected it to be much louder then it is. The fan can be heard but it is not loud or annoying. If it wasn't for the fact I could feel the heat in the water line after I first turned the unit on I would not have known the burner had ignited, no roaring noise as reported in other articles I read. So far I couldn't be more pleased. I installed the unit with the recommended isolation valves to facilitate a regular vinegar flush maintenance routine as my water is 85 grains hard and very hard on equipment as well."
