By measuring the outdoor temperatures and humidity, this unit will determine when it is appropriate to bring in the right amount of fresh air from outside. The fresh air is introduced into the home duct system, heated or cooled by your furnace or air conditioner, and circulated throughout the home. This unit will not pull fresh air if the outdoor conditions are too hot, too cold or too humid. Every home should have a fresh air system, and the Aprilaire 8126 is an excellently designed and low cost way to do so.
