The Model 3000 is often used to add air conditioning to a heating system, without the need to run new thermostat wire. It converts a 2-wire cable into the equivalent of a 4-wire cable (R, W, Y, G). It can also converts a 4-wire cable into the equivalent of a 6-wire cable for 2-stage heating, 2-stage cooling or heat pump conversions. The FAST-STAT receiver is installed at the furnace or fan coil. The sender wires are connected to the thermostat and the thermostat cable. The control wiring takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete as opposed to as much as an hour for some repull jobs. FAST-STAT comes with industry standard color-coded lead wires that are 10 inches long for easy connections. The receiver also comes with adhesive tape for fast mounting and also has screw mounting tabs. There are no batteries to install or replace.
