7/8" Suction Line Oil Trap

Suction line oil trap for 7/8" line sets. Mounting the evaporator coil above the condensing unit will require an inverted loop in the suction line near the connection to the evaporator coil. Mounting the condensing unit more than 15 feet above the evaporator coil will require the use of 1 or more oil traps depending on the height difference between the two units, installed at equal intervals along the suction line. Install 1 oil trap for a height difference of 15-25 feet, 2 oil traps for a height difference of 26-50 feet, 3 oil traps for a height difference of 51-100 feet and 4 oil traps for a height difference of 101-150 feet.
