Field Controls SEC

Field Control's Smart Exhaust Control is a product that will allow most exhaust fans to be used as part of a ventilation system. It is designed to replace a wall switch and can be set to function as a time delay or a ventilation control, by allowing a fan to run for a preselected period of time.

It can be used as a time delay on a bathroom fan, by setting it to run for 10 to 60 minutes (10 minute increments up to 60 minutes) after the homeowner has turned off the switch. This guarantees that shower steam and bathroom odors will be properly ventilated, and will reduce home humidity levels and help prevent the formation of mold. (Manufacturers typically recommend that bathroom fans be run for a minimum of 20 minutes after each shower.)

It can also be used as a ventilation control by setting the control to operate for pre-specified times throughout the day to exhaust stale inside air and help to improve the home air change rate.
