This Quietside condenser is a side-discharge unit, which means that it blows air out the side instead of through the top. (Side-discharge or top-discharge has no effect on unit operation, which means they can be installed anywhere.) These are popular for installations underneath decks or porches, and wherever there is a lower overhead clearance. They can also be used just as well for traditional installations.
