"I live in a 1916 Sears & Roebuck kit home (The Chelsea) in Michigan. Our old furnace was in the basement and was a coal furnace that had been converted to natural gas. It took a hungry strong junk man six hours to get the old very heavy coal furnace up the stairs and I replaced it with a Alpine natural gas forced air furnace AH8OG1UH070AP12. I used the metal bending tool that comes with the transition kit and created/connected my old ductwork to the new furnace and a day later the gas pipe, electric and vent pipe were also hooked up and presto our new furnace is alive! Quotes for the removal and installation of our old furnace ranged from $4300 - $7700 but thanks to Alpine I did the job myself for just under $900. If I can install a furnace anyone can do it! I am out of my mind with joy with regards to my savings! Thanks Alpine you guys are a Godsend."

Just to make sure before I placed my order I talked with someone on the phone and they gladly answered my technical questions and help me place my order. I also used the contractor assistance program which was great. I got a phone call from local A/C contractor willing to help me out with my installation within 30 minutes of my placing order.

Shipping was free, and very quick. To my amazement, everything that I needed showed up in one drop shipment and my installation went very smoothly. I did it myself and simply had the contractor assist with testing and startup which only cost a couple of hundred dollars. Purchasing from Alpine was a great experience.

The cost savings was fantastic and I got a great A/C system for the hot Western New York Summers."

"I went with the 16.0 SEER SSZ160601 condensing unit with MBE2000AA-1 air handler. I would suggest anybody looking at new systems consider 16 SEER as the minimum acceptable efficiency. We appreciate the 2-stage condenser and variable speed air-handler. The second day of operation is seeing outdoor ambient at 92°F and about 60% RH. The system has operated at low speed all day, and I can hardly hear it run. All items were delivered on time and without damage, and the system started flawlessly other than a slight adjustment of the expansion valve to get correct super-heat. I also felt the staff at Alpine was very helpful during the order process."
