Used for legacy (standard) wiring of communicating Goodman Condensers such as the GSXC16, GSXC18, GSZC16, and GSZC18 models when paired with non communicating indoor units. The Goodman communicating outdoor units with Comfortbridge technology are designed to be used with a Goomdan communicating indoor furnace or air handler with Comfortbridge technology and they use a non standard wiring connection.

If you are pairing a Goodman communicating outdoor unit with a non communicating indoor unit you must verify that the indoor units has 2 stages of cooling available to connect to on its board. Y is the call for cooling. If you don't have two Y terminals on your furnace or air handler then you can't use both stages of the outdoor unit. 

You will need 0130M00485 even if pairing a newer Goodman communicating outdoor unit using Comfortbridge technology with an older Goodman communicating indoor unit that used Comfortnet.

Keep in mind any certified matches will be between Goodman communicating outdoor units and Goodman communicating indoor units. Certified matches are typically required if you are attempting to get a rebate. 

This item is not needed if both the indoor and outdoor unit is a Goodman communicating product with Comfortbridge technology.
