To use LP fuel, this unit requires an LP Conversion Kit. See Accessories
The Williams 3509622A Monterey heats one room on natural gas with no electricity. A standing pilot with millivolt controls keeps it running through a power outage.
It recesses between standard wall studs, so only the face panel shows, or it can stand on the wall surface with the free-standing kit. The vent runs straight up inside the wall.
Installing above 2,000 ft? Add the Williams 9A332 high-altitude kit.
APPLICATION FIT
Designed for: single rooms in homes, cabins, offices and shops where you want quiet, power-free heat and can run a vent up through the roof.
Skip it when: there's no clear path to run the vent up through the roof, or the home is a mobile or manufactured home. For through-the-wall venting, look at the direct-vent models.
Key features
- Runs without electricity; the matchless pilot igniter lights it without matches
- Patented side-relief draft hood lowers flue gas temperature, so less heat goes up the vent
- Resettable vent-limit safety switch
- Recessed between studs or surface-mounted with the 4901 kit
- Thermostat (sold separately) mounts on the wall or on the furnace cabinet
- Add a Williams 2901 or Williams 2907 blower to push heat farther into the room
