The Rinnai FOT-102 11-20 in. vent extension kit extends the exhaust line and air intake hose between a Rinnai EX38DT direct vent wall furnace and its wall vent kit, so the furnace can be installed away from the exterior wall. Bends in the run use the FOT-115 bent elbow, sold separately.

Rinnai venting guidelines (EX38DT)

• Maximum vent length 13 ft (4 m) with 3 bends; the bent pipe attached to the furnace does not count toward the 3 bends
• The EX38DT has two vent length settings: Short Vent (0-7 ft + 1 elbow) and Long Vent (7 ft + 1 elbow up to 13 ft + 3 elbows)
• Slope horizontal sections 3° (2/3 in. drop per foot) to drain condensate
• No low points in the exhaust line where condensate can collect
• Clearance from exhaust pipe: 1 in. to combustibles, 0 in. to non-combustibles
