About Thermostat Sensors
Thermostat sensors are an integral part of a thermostat system. Their primary function is to measure different aspects of air quality in the surrounding environment. The information gathered by the thermostat sensor is then used to determine if the current temperature or humidity level is above or below the desired setpoint. Based on this comparison, the thermostat can activate or deactivate the HVAC system to maintain the desired indoor climate.
Our Honeywell thermostat sensors measure aspects of indoor or outdoor air quality, including temperature and humidity.
