Electrical whips are wires in a weather proof casing for outdoor use. They are used in conjunction with a disconnect box to connect power to your outdoor air conditioner, heat pump, or self contained unit. 

Whips come in two wire size thicknesses (gauges), #10 gauge or #8 gauge and are used depending on which system size and efficiency you choose.

Alpine branded electrical whips are 6 feet in length.
