Hotpoint PTAC units are easy to install, simply remove the old and slide in the new! The Hotpoint AHHS15D3XXA PTAC units come with a 20 amp, 208/230 volt power cord included and new installations require a grille and wall sleeve. However, if you are replacing a PTAC unit, your current grille and sleeve may be fine. Hotpoint has a long history as an industry leader in the appliance and comfort control industries.

• Automatic Emergency Heat - will automatically kick in when the temperature drop and the heat pump shuts down
• Removable, washable filters for easy maintenance
• Auto Dimming Display - Automatically adjusts the brightness of the control panel display based on ambient light, reducing glare at night and improving visibility during the day.
• Slinger Condensate Removal - Uses a slinger ring on the fan blade to pick up and fling condensed water onto the condenser coil, aiding in cooling and evaporating the water — which improves efficiency and eliminates the need for a drain.
• Automatic Emergency Heat - Engages the electric heat strip automatically if the primary heat source (usually the heat pump) fails or can’t maintain the set temperature in very cold conditions.
• Freeze Frost Protection - Prevents the unit and room from freezing by activating heat if the temperature drops too low, typically below 40°F (4°C), even if the unit is "off" — protecting pipes and the unit.
• Overheat Protection - Shuts down the heating element or compressor if the internal temperature exceeds safe levels, preventing damage to the unit and reducing fire risk.
• Auto Power Recovery - Restores the unit to its previous operating settings after a power outage, ensuring consistent comfort and avoiding manual reset.
