Goodman is one of the biggest names in home cooling, heating and energy-efficient home comfort. That’s because Goodman lives up to its name in a big way, with time-tested energy-efficient technology, highly durable materials and spot-on manufacturing. So, no matter where you live or whether your home is small or large, Goodman probably has a solution to help keep your home comfortable.
Efficiency at its best; this system comes with an ultra high efficiency, feature rich heat pump and a matching air handler that optimizes the system's performance.
The GVZC heat pump uses inverter technology so it can increase or decrease the heating and cooling output as needed to create the most comfortable environment while maximizing efficiency, minimizing humidity when cooling and reducing the noise level.
The AVPEC air handler is a perfect pairing to the heat pump. This is an AHRI certified/tested match. The air handler comes with a built in EEV valve, and variable speed blower motor which will increase and decrease the air flow as the system adjusts its heating and cooling output.
The variable speed blower motor can also sense when there is resistance to airflow in the duct system and adjust as needed to ensure that the air is delivered consistently throughout your home.
This is a communicating Goodman system so the indoor and outdoor units will share temperature readings in real time and make adjustments on the fly to maximize efficiency and comfort.
Another great advantage of a communicating Goodman system is that you can run it effectively with a basic or high end thermostat. The communication between the indoor and outdoor unit adjusts the system's power in heating, cooling, and when to engage an auxiliary heater coil. The thermostat simply needs to tell the system when to heat and cool the space.
Most locations will require the use of an auxiliary heater coil. They are located in the accessories section. If you have any questions on this system please call us at 1 800 865 5931 and we will be happy to help.
Please note that this heat pump comes pre-charged with R-410A liquid refrigerant and by Federal law cannot be released to the atmosphere. You can purchase this equipment without being EPA certified, and if you are mechanically inclined you may perform about 90% of the equipment installation yourself. However we strongly recommend to have a professional heating/cooling contractor do the final part of the installation including managing the refrigerant. An HVAC contractor has the tools and know-how to do this work. Also, having a contractor perform the final startup and inspection of this heat pump validates your warranty with Alpine. The manufacturer recommended line set diameters must be used with the Goodman inverter systems to ensure proper functionality.
