This system is designed to be installed in a horizontal application paired with a furnace that is laying on its side. It consists of a 5 ton, 13 SEER, AC condensing unit, and horizontal evaporator coil. It is a certified, 13 SEER matching AC system.

The evaportor coil is 24.5 inches tall and is designed to be installed on the supply side of a 24.5 inch tall furnace (laying on its side) although it is both common and acceptable to install it with a 21 inch tall furnace as well with some minor duct work modifications.

Please note that this condenser comes pre-charged with R-410A liquid refrigerant and by Federal law cannot be released to the atmosphere. You can purchase this equipment without being EPA certified, and if you are mechanically inclined you may perform about 90% of the equipment installation yourself. However we strongly recommend to have a professional heating/cooling contractor do the final part of the installation including managing the refrigerant. An HVAC contractor has the tools and know-how to do this work. Also, having a contractor perform the final startup and inspection of this condenser validates your warranty with Alpine.
